We are committed to educating and inspiring young learners towards the cultivation of positive reading habits, the development of good character traits, the embracing of lifelong learning and the attainment of long-term success.
PROBLEM: “Singaporeans are just not reading enough!”
The year-long National Arts Council survey that ended last year painted a sobering picture of reading habits in Singaporeans: only 44% of respondents said that they had read a book between March 2014 and March last year.
As reading is a foundational skill best acquired young, our App seeks to promote a reading culture amongst students by developing critical thinking skills, creativity and confidence of expression using story dramatization and book discussion.
In addition, our project is aligned with governmental efforts aimed at promoting community bonding through communal reading, regular meetings in library and schools, and other broad-based social projects facilitated by qualified teachers. Our overall objective is to nurture a nation of informed thinkers.
Key features of the Pawer Learning App

Expertly curated reading content, customized to meet the intellectual levels and experiences of young children e.g. articles from Straits Times, National Geographic & other renowned publications, with 14 exhilarating themes: Proverbs, Inspiring Phrases, Fun Facts, Jokes, Motivation and Character Building, Happenings around the world, Word of the Day, Sample compositions, Idioms & much more
2. Expertly curated video content e.g. video streaming, short clips, raw video footage, cartoons, “how to” educational clips & much more
3. Reading with multiple sensory modalities – electronic reading with integral animations e.g. moving visuals, graphical animations, sound effects & much more than add to the comprehension of the story by improving the user experience
